Mehraana Dhora : A symbol of faith and reverence of Bishnoi-dominated villages and society in Punjab. After walking about 4 km from Sitto Ganno intersection on the road leading to Malot, comes a sacred place called Mehrana Dhora.

It is said that about 80 years ago this area was extremely deserted. The area of ​​about 30 bighas was covered with shrubs and tree plants. People from nearby villages were afraid to come here even during the day.

At such a time, a saint named Bahmadas Ji Sigad came to this place from Jegla village of Nokha tehsil of Rajasthan . In this secluded place, he started doing austerities in solitude.

People from nearby villages started coming to see Brahmadas ji doing austerities. He did penance here for 30 years. During this period, no one could stay there for the night trust.

Today, a grand temple of Lord Jambheshwar is built at the same place. There is a tomb and cave of Brahmadas ji near the temple. Where he was in penance.


Jhamkudevi Higher Secondary School for Girls operates near the temple. Till some time ago the temple committee used to run the school. The temple currently has a total of 4.25 hectare (approx) of land where trees are planted. The statue of Hazariramji Manjhu , who was martyred in the deer hunting case near the mouth gate, is installed.
